Dry Creek Road runs from just north of Healdsburg through the Dry Creek Valley to Lake Sonoma. The Dry Creek Valley Appellation has approximately 28 wineries, over 200 wine growers and 10,000 vineyard acres. The wide valley offers great views. It is easy to drive along Dry Creek Road and stop at any winery you find attractive. You can pick up picnic materials in Healdsburg for a lunch at one of the wineries. Most have excellent picnic areas. Consider heading up to Lake Sonoma for a scenic view of the valley.
